DOAG Conference, Nuremberg, Germany, 17-19 November 2020

I am going to be presenting (probably virtually) at the DOAG Conference in Nuremberg on 17-19 November 2020

DOAG 2020
DOAG, 17-19 November 2020: Further Adventures in Active Session History in the Database and Infrastructure stream.

Active Session History can tell you far more than simply how much time was spent in a particular SQL statement. This session will demonstrate how you can use some of the additional information collected the ASH to investigate performance problems, including identifying sources of contention and serialisation, and I/O and memory consumption.
There are also some traps then when using ASH and AWR data might lead to the wrong conclusion, we will look at how to spot and work around a few of them.
